Denham Resources, formerly Denham Personnel Services,
was founded in 1970 by Jean and Bud Denham and originally
specialized in direct-hire placement and executive recruiting.
Using
staffing
companies as a resource was an emerging option for
connecting businesses with personnel needs to people
looking
for jobs. As Fresno and the Central San Joaquin
Valley blossomed Denham made an immediate impact for
those companies who needed supplementary recruiting.
Upon completion of his Business Administration degree
at Fresno State, their son Dave Denham joined the business
in 1971, specializing in the placement of executives
and senior managers on a contingency basis. Today, as
our CEO, he leads an entire division dedicated to recruiting
and executive search. In 1977, Dave became a full partner
and his wife, Kathy Bray, our current President, joined
the company. With a background in education Kathy’s
leadership skills proved invaluable in helping to build
an internal team with close knit values and goals. Denham’s
average length of tenure for its’ in-house employees
is 12.5 years, over four times the industry standard.
In January 1983 Dave and Kathy purchased the business
and became sole owners. That year, in response to customer
demand, the corporation added temporary staffing and
payrolling to its offerings. Our temporary staffing
division helped companies stay efficient by allowing
them to contract Denham employees temporarily during
high work demand periods or for special projects. Denham
was one of the pioneering companies to combine staffing
and executive search - a model that many Personnel /
Human Resources Service companies use today.
The legacy of Denham Resources being a locally and family
owned business is continuing, as Dave & Kathy’s
son-in-law, Edgar Blunt joined the company in 1995.
His understanding of technology and organization has
enhanced the levels of services we provide to employers
and job seekers. As our current Vice President, he leads
our Sales and Marketing division and is the driving
force behind the growth of the company.
Nearing our fourth decade in operation, the corporation
has expanded its Human Resource consulting to a more
comprehensive and formalized service. Using an educational
and preventative approach this division is responsible
for assisting companies with various human resource
matters.
Denham has four offices in three counties and provides
quality services to clients throughout California. Additionally,
as a member of the Independent Staffing Alliance since
1992, Denham’s scope can be expanded throughout
the United States for both executive recruiting and
national contracts for temporary staffing.
