Denham Resources has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Cost Accounting Manager to join the team of our client, a highly successful and world class agribusiness located in California’s South San Joaquin Valley.

-Applies principles of cost accounting and statistics to devise, implement and administer systems that provide company management with detailed cost data not ordinarily supplied by general accounting systems
-Provides company management with cost and comparative reporting, process costing and improvements
-Monthly cost reporting, budgeting and forecasting and preparation of annual budgets
-Manages monthly/quarterly/fiscal year end close, reconciliations, audit support and reporting
-Financial and Variance analysis and responsible for accurate month end close of inventory to the general ledger
-Analyzes and accurately reports on key operational and accounting metrics, month end financial results to management in accordance with corporate format and time requirements
-Develops operational metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
-Manages and provides strategic leadership to accounting staff

-4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance required
-Must have minimum 3 - 5 years of strong and relevant Cost Accounting background in agriculture, food processing or manufacturing
-Demonstrated financial and operational leadership of a professional staff with the ability to direct and supervise
-Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel
-Knowledge and proven ability of an ERP system; Oracle a plus
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
-Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
