Description

Denham Resources’ client, a highly successful, well-established global food services company is looking to hire a strategic Key Account Business Development/Sales Manager who has proven experience working with/for a large global company and/or international client base, building and sustaining relationships with the company’s existing Asia-Pacific key accounts and markets. This is a 100% remote position that can be located out of either CA, WA, or OR only, and will require 2-4 weeks of initial onsite training in San Francisco, CA. Eventually, when it is safe to do so, there could potentially be 30% – 40% travel abroad to manage the business of our client’s customers throughout Asia-Pacific.

-Acquire a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements to expand and build strategic relationships with the portfolio of existing clients and accounts
-Ensure and recognize the requirements of the clients and recommend improvements to existing processes, sales and marketing programs, changes in products, culinary development and product optimization as driven by their consumer market
-Integrate tactical initiatives in alignment with company values and corporate goals to drive business growth
-Coordinate with executive management to optimize sales and business development efforts
-Resolve and manage the questions of the clients, investigate, problem solve and develop solutions in a timely manner
-Interact and collaborate with senior management and global corporate teams to manage projects and client’s needs, and serve as the link of communication between customers and internal/external stakeholders
-Produce regular reports of progress, business updates, goals and sales forecasts for internal stakeholders
-Track all activities in the company’s CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly

Requirements

-Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or related field
-5 – 7+ years proven international sales/business development account management experience; food related, food service, R&D industry preferred
-Understanding of the Global Food Safety Initiatives and SQF Food Safety Code a plus
-Exceptional communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, cultural sensitivity, with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
-The ability to multi-task and manage multiple key client accounts; an ambitious, motivated self-starter
-Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills
-Ability to manage early morning/evening meetings as required due to international time differences
-When safe to do so, willing to travel internationally to Asia-Pacific 30% - 40% of the time
-Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications; CRM software experience a plus
